About Canadian Software List

Canadian Software List is an independent, hand-checked directory of software from companies founded or headquartered in Canada. It helps buyers find Canadian options, and helps Canadian software companies get found.

How listings are added

Some listings were added by our editors from public information on each company's own website. They're marked "editor-added". Others are submitted by the companies themselves. Being listed isn't an endorsement, and no listed company has paid for or approved its editor-added listing.

"Canadian" means

The company was founded in Canada or is headquartered here. Some listed companies have foreign owners or investors, and ownership changes. We describe where a company is based, not where every part of a product is made or hosted.

Paid options

Fast-track review (C$19, one-time) and featured placement (C$49 for 30 days, one-time) are available on the pricing page. Featured listings are clearly labelled. Paying never decides whether a product is accepted. See our terms.

Corrections and removal

Companies can ask for a correction or removal at any time, and we act on it promptly.

Privacy

We use cookie-free visitor counts. Submission details are stored securely and used only to review and publish listings; we never sell or share email addresses.

If you buy a paid listing, Stripe processes your card payment. Stripe shares your name, email, billing country and the software details you enter with us so we can deliver your order. We never see your full card number. See Stripe's privacy policy. We keep payment records as long as tax rules require.
